Automation Testing: LIVE at HP Discover!

on ‎05-06-2014 11:01 AM

Michael ‘Doc’ Deady and Brian ‘No Internet Name’ Palagyi will be together for one session only at HP Discover talking about turning testing out in 6 easy steps. You won’t want to miss the “Laurel and Hardy of Automation Testing” in Las Vegas!

Palagyi Discover.jpgIt’s true! It’s true!  Doc and I decided to get together and see if we could reclaim some of that old presentation magic from years ago and do another Discover presentation.  The topic is based off of one of Mike’s old blogs 6 steps to write test cases using exploratory testing methods, which has gathered quite a following.

So, with hope in our eyes and dreams in our hearts (and management’s permission) we are coming back with a revamp and update for the 2014 Discover at the Venetian Resort Hotel and Casino.  Our session is DF3178 and takes place Thursday, so make sure you sign up for Discover or at least come out for the day.

We will be discussing that while the pace of the world continues to speed up, the job of a manual tester and the associated tools, methods, and processes have changed very little. By combining exploratory testing, auto-generated documentation, simultaneous mirroring, and single-click detailed defect generation, manual testers can compete in an agile development environment.

Empowered with HP Sprinter Service Pack 12 Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) software, a manual tester can speed up the process of automated testing in just six easy steps. You may not realize that automated regression scripting typically starts out as a manual test case, and more than likely will go through several iterations before someone takes the time to automate the test case. And often, the test case is automated only after a defect is found. All this is changed with HP Sprinter 12 ALM.

I Hope to see you all out there! Feel free to stop me in my tracks if you see me walking about and ask about anything testing related you want to (although I always love to talk about alligator wrestling!).  And above all, keep it safe out there!
