Listen up

hp-discover-2013-logo.jpgIf you are fortunate enough to participate in HP Discover that means someoneis investing in you—make sure you get the most of it. Take lots of notes, take pictures, make new friends and business contacts all while getting to know your peers. To get the most out of Discover, try for just a few days to look beyond your current circumstances. Leave the production issues and company politics behind and be fully present in the moment.

Up until last year, I was a customer and presenter at Discover.  I can personally recall moments at each HP Discover and Mercury World that were turning points in my career. During these moments I was inspired, enlightened and educated by peers, presenters, executives, project managers and R&D. I have hired, promoted and I have been hired and promoted by people I’ve met or gotten to know better at HP Discover—sometimes many years later.

Share your ideas, we are listening

Listenup.jpgThe truth is you and your peers are the true future of testing. My promise to you is that if you respond to this blog or if you find me at Discover I will take time to listen to you. If you have questions or are seeking advice I will do my best to answer questions that you have based on my experience. In addition, you can influence the future of testing in other ways like our Roundtable discussions (See attached List.)

Don't miss the HP Software Keynote at HP Discover which promises to be a radically different presentation. If you consider yourself to be radically different, this keynote should be at the top of your calendar. Learn more about it here:

One more thing, don’t forget to have fun!
