I have an default image, that i will be making avaliable be in the near future. I had exactly the same problem as you luckly mine was under warranty so as soon as they drop it off i just ghosted a disk to disk image. I am just looking for a few volunteers to assit in upgrading the image to RH9, i have already managed to upgrade to RH7 with openwebmail, php4.3.0 mysql and many more apps, whilst maintaining all the original functionality
Let me know if you don't get yourself sorted, i will not be avaliable for a couple of weeks.
I have just installed phpnuke on my web server to try and get some people involded in buliding a new image.
I also have another server online which has a fresh image that can be used for testing and developmenr without having to worry about breaking anything.
