sa1100 Unable to make ftp connection

I just configured my new sa1100 and completed the first boot wizard. I can sign in using my browser but am unable to make an ftp connection to upload files to the /Home directory. Does my ftp program need a particular kind of setting? I am new to using an appliance server.

Your FTP program may be set to passive mode and you may want to try it with passive mode turned off.. (older versions of WSFTP defaults to passive - I like using Cute FTP) Also increase the time out delay if possible..

Should connect as long as you have ftp turned on. set it up with www.domain.com as ftp server (NOT ftp.domain.com) put in your user id and password. I use passive mode in wsftp. I also go into the advanced setting and set the default remote directory to /web.
