BSM license query (APM 360 )

[ Edited ]
hello, we are planning to use HP BSM to monitor IBM datapower Components included the following.. 1. HP OMi 2. Sitescope 3. RUM 4. BPM For infrastructure monitoring, we will use SNMP. IBM Datapower can support SNMP alert and polling. We plan to receive the SNMP alert to OMi via BSM connector and show the event in the event browser and correlation. So what is the license requirement? Only need the OMi target connector license for each IBM data power appliance? No sitescope points need? For RUM and BPM, can we use the APM 360 license for the IBM data power appliance? For the whole monitored environment, we use APM 360 for each java or .Net app server. So for rum,we want to see if we can also use apm360 license or we need the license for a rum probe for datapower traffic... Could you please suggest?? Many thanks.

If each IBM data power appliance is represented as 1 node in RTSM, then yes - you need OMi TC license for each such appliance sending traps to BSMC. SiteScope is absolutely irrelevant here.

Weird question. APM 360 license is used in the context of applications being monitored, not in the context of any specific devices like data power appliances. So if you use APM 360 license for Java and .NET servers I guess you are using Diagnostics to monitor JVMs and .NET CLRs used by your application(s). So your APM 360 license allows you to use BPM and RUM to monitor the same applications (in addition to using Diagnostics probes).
