Monitor Service (using Process Name)

[ Edited ]

Hi,

How can I enable Measure process memory use in Service Monitor ? SiteScope is monitoring several instances of a process running in Windows 2003 Server. I want an alert triggered as soon as one of the instances is using 50% of total memory.

I think I can obtain this with Measure process memory use.

A snapshot is attached.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Monitor Service (using Process Name)

Hi,

The process Memory counter will show consumed memory by all instances of the process not per instance.

I understand. But why is this option grayed out for Windows Servers?

I have not seem where can this option be enabled in SiteScope.

Re: Monitor Service (using Process Name)

Hi ,

This option is only applicable for UNIX remote hosts according to yhr Monitor reference guide :

Measure process memory use

(For UNIX only) SiteScope reports the amount of virtual memory being used by a specific process.

Hope this helps !
