Last week at VMware PEX, I did a podcast and video with Jeff Boles, Sr Analyst with Taneja Group talking about VM Density and HP 3PAR StoreServ.  It occured to me while doing it that I really haven't covered some of the HP 3PAR StoreServ "special sauce" - the things that make it a modern architecture and really differentiate in the market.

So I decided I'd start a series of HP ChalkTalks diving in deeper. Today, I have the first HP 3PAR StoreServ Architecture ChalkTalk.  It's a high level overview of the architecture and a deeper dive talking about the Mesh Active Cluster.  I remember the first time I heard about this a few years ago when my former colleague Marc Farley gave me a personal training at VMworld on what he thought made 3PAR special.  It was a rapid fire conversation that at the time I probably only really got 25% of it - ok, 10%! I hope this ChalkTalk brings it down to earth for you.

I have several future 3PAR Architecture ChalkTalks in mind but want to hear from you.  What do you want to learn more about - controller design, wide striping, replication, the ASICS, Flash/SSD or something else?  Feel free to leave a comment, send me an email, or ping me on Twitter.

If you want to dig deeper, I have over 50 blog posts that touch on 3PAR or check out the HP 3PAR StoreServ product page on hp.com
