HP Data Protector Express - can't get serial number from Barracuda Networks

 

Hello,

 

We bought HP StorageWorks Ultrium 1760 SAS. There was HP Data Protector Express Single Server Edition Software. It shoud be free. From HP's site I went to Barracuda Networks to get serial number. But "DPX has been discontinued by HP and the information you provided decodes as DPX 5.0 Basic or older and is not eligible for the free migration/upgrade."

 

What should I do? Thanks!

Dataq Protector Express is not supported by the same group that supports Data Protector

 

I went into what documentation that I could find, and found that there is a DPX 6.0 version, so, that part of the error may be able to be resolved by having your sales person get an up-to-date copy

 

However, the documentation did not extend to how to obtain the serial number, so I probably won't be able to help with that
