Outlook Express 6 and PDF files

I just set up a home made PC with Win 98SE. I then downloaded Outlook Express 6 and loaded it over my OE 5 (along with the IE 5 to 6 update) and now I cannot access pdf email attachments. In truth, I never noticed if I could access them on OE5, so I am assuming that I could and was. I forwarded the email and attachment to MS Outlook and everything was fine.

Has anyone heard of this problem?

Sorry, I have not and apparently neither has Microsoft. I couldn't find anything in their knowledgebase. Have you tried www.windowsupdate.com?

Tools, Options, Security Tab, unselect "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus."

You can also relax your security settings in IE.

I gave him 10. He should get 50 if you think of the trouble I would have for the next 3 years (when forced to go to XP) forwarding my email from OE to Outlook before saving.

The points aren't showing up. There are some glitches in that area depending on what browser you're using. Could you try assigning points to him again. Sometimes doing it twice in succession makes it work.
