Information Governance: Bringing Information Governance to HP Discover Barcelona 2013

JoeGarber on ‎12-09-2013 08:20 AM

There’s no question that 2013 has been a year of rebirth for Information Governance (InfoGov). During the past few months alone, we’ve seen the number of inquiries from prospects and volume of analyst coverage on this issue increase significantly.  In that time, HP also has taken a leadership position in the InfoGov market, having held our first customer forum, launched a microsite, and spoken at a wide variety of thought-leadership events all focused on this important topic.

It should therefore be no surprise that HP will place InfoGov and our related market offerings front and center for a global audience at this week’s HP Discover event in Barcelona.  This event, held once a year outside North America for thousands of HP’s top customers, is a place to discuss the most pressing issues for IT professionals.  InfoGov is a natural topic, which has been requested by many attendees.

Most notably, there will be four InfoGov-related speaking sessions included in the agenda.  These include (all local times):

  • Information governance in the age of Big Data and mobility: an enterprise-wide strategic imperative, Tuesday, 10 December, from 12:10 – 12:40, room DT5.6
  • Best practices for effective social media governance and information privacy, Tuesday, 10 December, from 10:30 – 11:00, room DF4.3
  • Next-generation ECM: intelligent, mobile, compliant workflows across the enterprise, Wednesday (11 December) from 12:00 – 13:00, room B06
  • Lower IT costs and better serve internal constituents with intelligent content archiving, Thursday, 12 December, from 10:40 – 11:10, room DF4.3

In addition to these speaking sessions, there are dozens of demos and executive meetings already scheduled for the week, plus a partner meeting during which InfoGov will be highlighted – further reinforcing that interest in HP’s InfoGov vision and market offerings is widespread and well in line with customer needs for this largely European audience.

We hope to see you in Barcelona Dec 10-12.  Stop by and say hello if you’re able to attend.
