Information Governance: HP Autonomy Named an ECM Market Leader by an Independent Research Firm

JoeGarber on ‎09-25-2013 09:06 AM

More good news for HP Autonomy:  we were among the select technology providers that Forrester Research, Inc. invited to participate in “The Forrester Wave™: Enterprise Content Management, Q3 2013” report. In this evaluation, HP Autonomy was cited as a leader in the ECM market – both for overall ECM capabilities and business content capabilities.

We believe that this highly credible, third-party analysis reinforces what many HP Autonomy customers have known for some time – that HP Autonomy is a key player in the ECM market, with a strong and comprehensive technology portfolio that is highlighted by our HP Records Manager and WorkSite products.  As Forrester states:

“HP has particular strengths in the areas of records management, information governance, and eDiscovery, drawing on solid technology from both the HP-TRIM and Autonomy product teams.”

Readers of the report will also note that a number of key market trends listed – e.g., “’Mobile First’ Has Become The User Expectation,” “Usability And Flexibility Drive Adoption,” “User Interfaces Get Some Long-Overdue Tender Loving Care” – are, we believe, directly in line with HP Autonomy’s recent announcements such as Records Manager 8.0 and LinkSite

Further, HP Autonomy’s information governance capabilities are noted as an area of “particular strength” in this report.  This approach, which unifies our ECM, information archiving, eDiscovery, and Data Protection market offerings, supplements and extends our core ECM capabilities – allowing us to deliver even greater value to our customers and further differentiating us from competitors with more narrowly focused solutions.

The ECM Hat Trick

The issue of this important research follows another key analyst report from 451 Research that was released in the last few days highlighting HP Autonomy’s ECM market strength, as well as a report issued by IDC earlier this year in which HP Autonomy was named a market leader in a MarketScape report on Government Records Management.  We believe that each serves as yet another proof point that HP Autonomy is a leading player in the ECM market, which is well tuned to market trends and our customers’ success.

Congratulations to all my HP Autonomy teammates.  The continued execution of our strategy, and regular cadence of good news, is clearly an accomplishment worth celebrating.
