Information Governance: Taking Information Governance to the Streets

JoeGarber ‎09-05-2013 08:44 AM - edited ‎09-05-2013 09:36 AM

We all now know the term Information Governance, but why is it important, what exactly does it mean, and what should you look for in a solution?  These are all questions that have historically been difficult to answer without added information.  HP Autonomy is taking bold steps to change that.

This week, HP Autonomy launched an Information Governance microsite that brings together a number of educational “assets” that remove the mystery behind Information Governance.

View the microsite at:

On the microsite, you will see a collection of videos, white papers, analyst reports, and third-party (thought leader) executive overviews that break down the “why,” “what,” and “how” behind this important objective that is quickly becoming a hot topic in boardrooms around the world.  Those who visit will also quickly notice that HP Autonomy has a highly differentiated portfolio of solutions that can work individually to solve specific governance problems, or that can work in a modular fashion to unify data silos and solve wide-ranging enterprise problems.

This news further reinforces that HP Autonomy is a serious player in the market.  Customers and analysts alike have embraced our Information Governance vision, and are now starting to respond positively a number of “proof points” they are seeing as we execute toward that vision.  This is resulting in an increase in customer inquiries and prospects that want to learn more about how we can help them achieve cost, risk and productivity benefits with our solutions.

As a further supplement to our Information Governance market education program, HP Autonomy also announced this week that we are holding an Information Governance Twitter Chat Series moderated by Jim Harris, on Sept 11, Sept 25, Oct 9, Oct 23 at 2:00 p.m. EST.

The first session of the Twitter Chat Series, titled The Data Dilemma, will be an open forum covering the following important topics:

  • How much data are you dealing with? And where is that data coming from?
  • How fast is your data growing? And what are you doing to keep up with it?
  • What percentage of your data has legal/compliance implications?
  • Who’s responsible for governing all that data?

Come visit us on Sept11 at 2:00 p.m. EST to learn more. #InfoGovChat, @HPAutnInfoGov
