Information Governance: Tapping into the Cloud for Better Information Management and Governance

JoeGarber on ‎02-24-2014 07:22 AM

By almost any measure – pedigree, data volume under management, breadth of offerings, scalability, security – HP Autonomy is a leader in cloud-based technology solutions.  This is especially true in the area of information management and governance, where we have a rich history of serving some of the world’s largest and most demanding organizations with SaaS-based information archiving, ECM, eDiscovery and data protection offerings.

The demand for such solutions has been strong –a key driver of HP Autonomy’s growth in the past year—and remains top-of-mind for customers as we enter 2014.  As Mike Vizard said in his recent article:

“With more data than ever being managed, it's clear that a much larger percentage of that data will wind up in the cloud. And unless an organization has some compelling regulatory requirement that limits its deployment options, it's also increasingly looking like governance will be easier to deploy and manage via cloud.”

With strong market interest and a growing portfolio of products deployed in this model, we are often asked by customers where they can learn about all of our cloud-based offerings in one place.  To that end, we are pleased to launch HP Autonomy’s Information Management & Governance Cloud Microsite.

This microsite and the resources therein will provide you with a holistic outlook on how the cloud can empower any information governance strategy and help you determine whether the cloud makes sense for your organization.  Specifically, you will find a number of educational materials – e.g., videos, whitepapers, analyst reports, and other thought leadership – on the benefits of cloud-based offerings in general, plus details on all of HP Autonomy’s offerings in one place.  You can also learn about the newest member of this portfolio, HP eDiscovery OnDemand, which we announced earlier this month.

A New Style of IT

Followers of HP have heard our CEO, Meg Whitman, talk about A New Style of IT that is changing the way we do business and how the cloud is a key piece of that vision.  With deep economies of scale, high levels of security, and an attractive pay-as-you-go model, we expect this to be especially true in Information Management and Governance, where data volumes will soon outpace most organizations’ ability to address these challenges with internal resources only.

Be looking for additional cloud-based announcements from HP Autonomy in the coming months.
