Information Governance: "Policies and Procedures"

LuisRomero ‎09-26-2013 08:40 AM - edited ‎09-26-2013 08:42 AM

We continued our Information Governance Twitter Chat Series this week, with our second session discussing the “Policies and Procedures” necessary to support a robust information governance strategy.  Present across most organizations is the issue of how to determine and place a value on data.  One could say that the value should be based on the context of the data, but the context of data is ever-changing.  As Chris Surdak brought to light in the chat–an employee’s emails regarding their fantasy football league could be deemed irrelevant today, but could then have context next year when they’re fired for poor performance.  You can review this dialog around data value and other intriguing perspectives from today’s chat here.

Join us October 9 at 2:00pm EST for the third session of the Twitter Chat Series, titled "Information Governance Framework," in an open forum discussing the following topics:

  • Is there more to your information governance framework than risk mitigation? What about compliance is most troublesome?
  • What were/are your issues with your information management and discovery processes?
  • How would you like to improve and further support more efficient information management and discovery?
  • What obstacles are in the way of achieving your information governance goals?

We look forward to having you join us. #InfoGovChat.   Follow us @HPAutnInfoGov
