RUM 9.24 for Mobile Monitoring: Understand your app’s performance, availability, and crashes

APMDocs_Avi ‎07-30-2014 05:01 AM - edited ‎06-09-2015 01:55 PM

Are you using HP Real User Monitor (RUM) for mobile application performance monitoring? If not, you’re missing out on a great way to quickly identify and solve problems with your mobile apps! We’ve already seen how to easily instrument your mobile app for monitoring by HP Real User Monitor.

RUM 9.24 – the latest version of RUM for Mobile Monitoring – provides you with even more ways to spot and solve problems before their impact is widely felt by your users.

Crash Detection and Isolation (New!)

Make sure your app is stable on your real users’ devices:

  • Detect and alert when an application crash occurs
  • Focus on application versions, device models and OS versions that are suffering more than others
  • Quickly isolate crashes using the crash stack trace, device properties and full session capture – see exactly what the user was doing prior to the crash!

Performance and Availability:

  • Analyze performance, availability and usage by geography, carrier, operating system and other critical factors
  • Manage third-party domains that are impairing your application
  • Identify and isolate poorly performing actions.

With the RUM 9.24 mobile solution you can easily manage the performance and stability of your mobile application, as well as track usage patterns such as identifying common user flows and version adoption.

HP RUM gives you a single pane of glass for managing the end-to-end health of your application, from the native app running on your users’ device, to the application and database servers serving the application backend. For more details on RUM for Mobile, see

The APM Doc Team has created a short video to show you the value of the RUM Mobile Health report in RUM 9.24. Click below to watch the video, or access it here.

You can try RUM for Mobile yourself to experience these capabilities for application performance monitoring.
