HP 5700 Receiving error creating new Snmpv3 user account

Comware Software Version 7.1.045, Release 2311P05

Trying to create a new snmpv3 user account and recived the following error. I've changed user name/passwords for the sake of this topic.

This is the error message that IMC 7.1 provides.

I currently have an existing snmpv3 user configured, but I need to delete the exiting account  after creating and verifying new account is successful. Any help with how to remove existing snmpv3 account would be much appreciated.

Also, is there any type of character limitations for the passwords i.e. !@#$%^&*/ ?

Could not find anything in the configuration manual regarding such limitation.

Hi, your should enter the 'cipher' or 'simple' keyword before entering authention-mode. As for your example, simple should be used.

To delete a user, use the undo form of the command. See Network management and monitoring command reference for the switch.

hope this information helps.
