HP 5900AF > Link-Aggregation - VMWare 5.5.0
Hi Guys,
I have a new HP 5900AF-48XGT-4QSFP+.
Have 2 HPDL380p both with 2x10Gb ports. We need to create link-aggregation on the Switch.
Here are my Simulation config:
interface Bridge-Aggregation1
description TRUNK.ESX01
port link-type trunk
undo port trunk permit vlan 1
port trunk permit vlan 12 to 13 102
link-aggregation mode dynamic
lacp edged-port
#
interface Bridge-Aggregation2
description TRUNK.ESX02
port link-type trunk
undo port trunk permit vlan 1
port trunk permit vlan 12 to 13 102
link-aggregation mode dynamic
lacp edged-port
#
interface Vlan-interface12
description iSCSI
ip address 10.138.12.254 55.255.255.0
#
interface Vlan-interface13
description vMOTION
ip address 10.138.13.254 55.255.255.0
#
interface Vlan-interface2
description AD-SERVERS
ip address 10.138.2.254 255.255.255.0
#
interface Ten-GigabitEthernet1/0/1
port link-mode bridge
description ESX01.TEAM
port link-type trunk
undo port trunk permit vlan 1
port trunk permit vlan 12 to 13 102
port link-aggregation group 1
#
interface Ten-GigabitEthernet1/0/2
port link-mode bridge
description ESX01.TEAM
port link-type trunk
undo port trunk permit vlan 1
port trunk permit vlan 12 to 13 102
port link-aggregation group 1
#
interface Ten-GigabitEthernet1/0/3
port link-mode bridge
description ESX02.TEAM
port link-type trunk
undo port trunk permit vlan 1
port trunk permit vlan 12 to 13 102
port link-aggregation group 2
#
interface Ten-GigabitEthernet1/0/4
port link-mode bridge
description ESX02.TEAM
port link-type trunk
undo port trunk permit vlan 1
port trunk permit vlan 12 to 13 102
port link-aggregation group 2
#
On the VMWare i have the following configuration: Route based on IP hash.
VMWare Version: VMware vSphere 5 Enterprise Plus ( 5.5.0 - 1623387 )
Are this correct, is this the best way to do it? I try do put connection up with out success.
Sincereyly,
MF

Re: HP 5900AF > Link-Aggregation - VMWare 5.5.0
Are you using the distributed vSwitch?
Below video shows how to configure it for VMware.

Re: HP 5900AF > Link-Aggregation - VMWare 5.5.0
Setting this right.
But always make changes directly in Bridge-Aggregation and never in the interface.
