High CPU on A3100
Hi all
I have accidently noticed that one of our A3100s, ver 5.20.99 release 5203P05, has very high CPU utilization.
There are two processes causing it, VIDL and INFO, can't find much about either of them
see the outputs below, I've attached a file as the formating of CPU history isn't the best

Re: High CPU on A3100
Pattap,
The vIDL process is the idle process. It's only using 1% of the CPU. The INFO process, I think is the info-center. Are you monitoring a lot of stuff? Perhaps sending SNMP traffic to a PC?

Re: High CPU on A3100
David,
Ok good to know, I don't need to worry about idle process then. However info remains high, just checked the switch a few seconds ago and INFO porcess hits the roof. CPU history graph looks exaclty same as the one attached.
I am monitoring a lot of stuff but do you meant that the switch itself may be sending snmp traffic?
One more thing I have noticed that one of the interface flaps, that is severla times per second, I've shut it down for now and will monitor the switch

Re: High CPU on A3100
UPDATE:
After shutting the interface things settled down, I've noticed high input CRC on that interface, I suspect a faulty cable or unlikely the interface.
WIll visit the site later to confirm

Re: High CPU on A3100
It was just an interface that was flapping, I didn't realize this would cause such high CPU utilization
