Re: [OCI_LoadLibrary] OCI Library could not be loaded!

What is the OS-type of the server that you are running Oracle on?

I found a couple of lab cases where the problem was that the shared library paths were not being set correctly, for example

LIBPATH=/u01/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/lib
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/u01/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/lib

This was on a Solaris client that was running Oracle.  On HPUX, it was working just fine

If you can supply the location of your ORACLE_HOME directory, it would be helpful

Please run the following comands from the command prompt of the Oracle server, save the output to a file, and attach it to your next reply

echo $LD_LIBRARY_PATH
echo $SHLIB_PATH
echo $DYNAMIC_PATH
echo $LIBPATH

Also, run the following command on your Oracle server:

   cd /opt/omni/lbin
   ./util_orarest.exe -OBJS [Oracle instance]           Don't include the [   ] marks

I am only interested to see if this comes back with an error

I am trying to see if the symptoms of the problem match what I am seeing in lab cases.  This proble was reported and fixed with DP 6.2, and, again, with Oracle running on a Solaris system

I suspect that this problem will need to have a case opened with the Response Center eventually, and, if it does, having all of this information ahead of time will help things along

ORACLE_HOME = /oradb/EBSPROD/db/11.2.0

Re: [OCI_LoadLibrary] OCI Library could not be loaded!

All I could find on RETVAL*1030 ws a corner case, that is, a case for one specific occurrance of this error

Is your Oracle configuration using "Automatic Storage Management (ASM)".  This is not often used, and normally, when doing a Zero downtime backup.  When using ASM, a check is made if this is a ZDB, and if not, the '1030' error is thrown

This goes back to DP 6.21, so I don't know if this has any validity

A similiar problem in DP 6.20

       computer1(orasac):/opt/omni/lbin> ./util_oracle8.pl -config -dbname SAC /oracle/bin/SAC/102>
        *RETVAL*1030

was fixed with a test binary, with no explanation of what caused it

Yes it is running ASM.

Would i be able to restore using RMAN console or not?

What is the solution its production backup

Please open a case with the response center.  Include as many details of our conversation as you can

Since the only thing I found was with an older version of DP, this has to be considered a new problem, and analyzed by engineering
