O.S upgradtion from 11.11 to 11.31

Hi All,

I am plannig for the O.S upgradation from 11.11 to 11.31 for the rp7420 server,having vpars,cluster along with Oracle data base.I am planing to go head with cold installation pls let me how I have to take care of vpars,cluster and also database(oracle)what are the challenges there,Any PDF which can guide me to do take care of vpars,cluster & Database.For this entire activity how is the down time required.

If I go with update-ux what are steps required.

You cannot go to 11.31 directly, better to do a cold install.

You can not upgrade using update-ux directly from 11.11 to 11.31. You would have to upgrade first to 11.23, then to 11.31.

As far as your applications like VPars, SG, etc., I would assume that new versions would be required but that should be checked in the docs for the individual applications.

Probably you will be using,

11.31 march 2010 and A.11.19 service guard and Vpar A.05.06

You would be reading a lot of manuals adn white papares comming days.. :)
