Is it possible to install an oracle 9i on a HP server with an existing oracle 7.3.4 version. Will my old version gets affected with the new one. Do I have to configure something on oracle 9i?
Regards
Maye

Re: Oracle db

Re: Oracle db
this is possible, as long as you use different ORACLE_HOME and path for your datafiles.

Re: Oracle db
and LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variables were updated when you switch between the database instance.
Thank you,
