SmartSSD Wear Gauge Utility - not finding the HP IO Duo SSD Drives
HI,
I have a box in a data center that has 4 HP IO Drives that are Solid State Drives. I would like to measure the wear on the SSDs to find out how much life is left on them. They are 3 years old. I had the datacenter install the SmartSSD Wear Gauge Utility. The utility runs fine but does not find the SSDs. I submitted a ticket to HP support but they have not got around to responding. Suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks
John

Re: SmartSSD Wear Gauge Utility - not finding the HP IO Duo SSD Drives
IO drives are not SSD 'drives' in the normal sense, even though they can appear to the system as drives.
You need to install FusionIO's ioSphere software to monitor those IO Accelerators.

Be careful, you might need to update the firmware on the IO Accelerators before you can monitor them using the downloaded software.
