Application Developers as revolutionaries

Link to Viewpoint Paper:  Lead the Mobile App Revolution

Revolution keyboard.jpgRevolutions come in many forms.  The latest, the "New Style of IT" (NSIT), is no less remarkable in its effect and reach. It sweeps across the borders of IT, business and mobility, releasing workers from being location-specific via "mobile everything."  It's the latest Eldorado in the evolution of the IT/business partnership.

No longer are workers required to return to the age-old office to review the latest sales numbers or the current status of stock supplies.  No longer does the sales person have to print reams of paper analysis to support their clients' buying decision. Now we can all live the revolution with anytime, anywhere access to all the business data we can consume!

Or can we?

Are we "living the dream" or still building the bridge to that shiny new future?  One of HP's favorite mobility prognosticators, Parminder Sohal explains the need for "Mobile Backend as a Service (MBaaS)" in his latest paper.  Follow this link to read Mr. Sohal's thoughts and expectations for the liberation of workforces.
