Display order of topics - newest response at the top?

Dear all,

I'm using a page view like this (all topics):

http://h30499.www3.hp.com/t5/forums/recentpostspage/category-id/itrc-117/post-type/thread

How to adjust the view that the topic with the newest response is on the top?

(Just like the view in the old ITRC forum)

Some topics are still very active, but listed a few pages behind, not at the top of the first page)

I found similar questions, but without any official response or solution.

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Torsten - I agree that the "View All" page should be sorted by "Latest Post", and not by when the thread was started.  If it was something I could change myself, I would have already done so - but I've submitted the input about the way that capability behaves and hope that we might be able to offer a solution soon.

Torsten,

You might want to try what Volkmar suggested to me -go to > Community Home > Operating Systems > HP-UX
.   Then, in the options on the right, select "mark all posts as read".  This will give you a listing of all the topics within HP-UX in one screen and any updates within categories will be reflected in the "new" column.  You just have to occasionally refresh/reload your browser to update that "new" column.

Good suggestion Pete - but users shouldn't have to "work around" the way the site works to make it behave in an expected way - so I'm still going to follow up on this one.

Yes, I did this by mistake and after that It's helpful.

Then I go down each board with new entries, which is in post order.

Looks like the nokia.com forum is using the same software (more or less, with Kudos! and so on ...) and they order the list by latest replies!

Hope this helps!

Re: Display order of topics - newest response at the top?

Torsten - I'm looking at that site right now - specifically, the category page for Mobile Products @

I don't see a "View All" link/option to get to a page where you can see topics across multiple boards - do you have a url you can point me to so I can verify their site behaves differently than ours?

Thanks!

Kevin, I was on these pages:

but without an account and logging in.

I googled for

"Who Kudoed this" (exact phrase)

and it looks like the result list is a list of the sites that uses the same forum software (lithium).

Hope this helps!

This is a "board".  Sorting in a board works correctly.  It's only in a category and you use "view all" that fails.
