Question about Kudos! - given by Experts

Within a topic I can click on

Who Kudoed this Message

and I see who gave a point.

Example:

http://h30499.www3.hp.com/t5/kudos/messagepage/board-id/community-feedback-suggestions/message-id/1213/tab/all-users

But there is another tab "Experts" - what makes an user an expert?

Example:

http://h30499.www3.hp.com/t5/kudos/messagepage/board-id/community-feedback-suggestions/message-id/1213/tab/expert-users

I have not seen an entry yet in such page.

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

It's right there in the HELP:

http://h30499.www3.hp.com/t5/help/faqpage/faq-category-id/kudos#kudos_whogave

  • Click the Experts tab to see Kudos given by high-ranking members of the community.
Experts are usually moderators and other users who had a Kudos weight of more than 1 when they gave the message Kudos.

I'm not sure we have heavy kudos?

Re: Question about Kudos! - given by Experts

So it is a question how many Kudos you gave, not the count you received, right?

If someone have "heavy Kudos", then JRF, right?

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

It sure seems like it.  I'm not sure if experts can select the weight or it is automatic?

Yes, even after more than 14.100 replies and almost 2900 Kudos! received, but only 40 given ... we are just beginners.

Hope this helps!

Re: Question about Kudos! - given by Experts

Torsten - you've come across a feature that we have not yet implemented, but something we are considering utilizing.  As others have said, this is a case where some users can have a kudos "weight" where each kudo they assign is worth more than a "standard" kudo.

This wasn't something we could use with the migration of the ITRC content, as the kudos were awarded by a "Migration" account, and not by specific users.

As I've mentioned several times since the migration, what you see today in the new community is not how we're going to leave things.  We've got a lot of plans for additional improvements (some based on input received since the migration, some that's been in the works for a while).  This type of feature is an example of something we're considering how to best use, and is only part of a larger initiative that's being investigated to give our top users differentiated capabilities and options.

Why would a tab that has not yet been implemented be visible?

I assume it IS implemented but not selected.  But as you said, better to make the feature selection consistent, so nobody asks questions like this. ;-)
