Hi,

Yes, it is compatible for PA-RISC. Also, you can install 11.31 on PA-RISC which is the newset release.

Re: 11.23 for PARISC ?

PA-RISC covers processors all the way back to the first PA box, about 1985. Older boxes will not work with 11.23 if they do not support 64bit kernels -- which means PA-RISC 8000 chips and later. However, many of the older 64bit servers will not work (unsupported):

All D-Class servers
All R-Class servers
All E-Class servers
All K-Class servers
All T-Class servers
All V-Class servers

A long list of workstations do not work with 11i v2:

B132L, B132L+, B160L, B180L
B1000, B2000, B2600
C100, C110, C160L, C160, C180, C200, C240, C360
C3000, C3600, C3650, C3700, C3750, C8000
J200, J210, J210XC, J280, J282, J2240
J5000, J5600, J7000, J6000, J6700, J6750
705, 710, 712, 715/33, 715/50, 715/75, 715/64, 715/80, 715/100, 715/100XC
720, 730, 735, 750, 755, 725/50, 725/75, 725/100

Note also that HighVoltage FWD devices and cards are not supported.

Re: 11.23 for PARISC ?

Sekar,
No, v1.6 (11.22) did not run on PA-RISC systems. It's not supported now anyway, so it's something of a moot point.

Re: 11.23 for PARISC ?

This is kind of a trick question. The ORIGINAL 11.23 did not run on PA-RISC. An update to 11.23, released in September, 2004, added PA support back into the shipped version of 11.23. Any version of 11.23 from after this date (May 2005, December 2005, June 2006, etc.) is also OK for either IPF or PA systems.

As others have noted, a lot of older PA hardware will not run 11.23. Basically, if it isn't 64 bit hardware with PCI-based I/O, don't try to run 11.23 on it. There are some other restrictions re supported I/O cards, etc. that we can discuss if needed.
