HP UPS Management Card and UPS 192187-003?

Hi,
I don't know if there's a better forum.

I have a hi voltage UPS R3000h XR NA, 192187-003, and I need an SNMP/Network Management card for it.

The products web site says that the only current product for this is the "HP UPS Management Module" AF401A. Is this module compatible with my UPS?

In the compatibility matrix, it lists R3000-family UPS model under both "Yes" and "Legacy" (I think Legacy means not supported but I'm not sure). However it doesn't list my model number in either category.

It does list an older but similar UPS part number 192186-002 in the Legacy list, but not mine.

So what expansion card should I buy to get network notification capabilities from my R3000h XR NA UPS?

Thanks

Hi Happy Dude,

The quick spec you pointed me to says that HP UPS model AF423A replaces the non-ROHS compliant UPS model 196186-002. Unfortunately I have a 192187-003. Both models are high voltage R3000 models, but the part number is different. Why oh why does none of the HP documentation reference my UPS?

Partsurfer also knows nothing about 192187-003.

I did find an R3000 quick spec which mentions the 192187-003, and if I Google it many places are selling it so it's a valid HP UPS part number. My problem is that it's not listed on any of the compatibility matrix documents so I don't know what accessories I can buy for it, and I need an SNMP card!

Mike,
AF427A SNMP/Serial Port Card is an good option for you;
I dont see why this will not work;

I am not sure about the Part numbers not matching.

Re: HP UPS Management Card and UPS 192187-003?

Hi,

By further web searching this morning I found out that 192187-003 is the "Assembly Part Number" and 192186-002 is the "Option Part Number". It's the same unit.

I wish HP would put product info on the web site using the same part number that's actually on the label on the back of the unit, but what can you do?

Thanks for your help.
