Dear colleagues,
I have a NFS client that's suffering since yesterday some issues with few NFS mounts from the same server.
We are getting a lot of errors like:
NFS server server1 not responding still trying
NFS server server1 ok
and also lots of :
NOTICE: KRPC: record fragment from server of size(33748) exceeds maximum (33576). Disconnecting
Any clue?
FS are mounted using the default values.

Solution
Does the suggestion in following discussion help? Similar issue, may not be specific to HP-UX...

Re: NFS error: NOTICE: KRPC: record fragment from server of size
Hi Rajesh,
Yes I think we are facing the same issue.
I restarted the NFS services in the client with problems and noticed later that some filesystems were also being exported.
That will explain the error.
From your link:
"..KRPC is Kernel Remote Procedure Call. NFS runs on top of KRPC. The boot up
error (KRPC: record fragment ...) is caused by an NFS client continueing to
send NFS requests after the NFS server has dead-locked and been rebooted..."
Thanks!

Re: NFS error: NOTICE: KRPC: record fragment from server of size
I think the error was due to the NFS servcives being stopped...so we can ignore the error.
