Optical Driver

We have optical drive (RWZ53-DA) hooked up with Alpha server 4100 running DU 4.0D with the driver OSDS160. The problem is that after few days usage of this drive, you can not mount and umount. It always indicates the device busy. When you do df, you can not see the drive is mounted. However, after you kill the drive daemon (ofsd) and restart it, the mount/umount work again. Is there any configuration error causing this problem or is there any patches for it?

The software used for these drives has been sold off to U.S.Design. Check their website at http://www.usdesign.com to see if any patches exists.
