I connect to rp8420 HP-UX 11i server by Reflection X. As root I haven´t any problems to start a CDE session, but the users receive an x-window that indicates that the desktop messaging system could not be started and, to correct the problem, login with Failsafe Session and check the /etc/hosts and the network configuration.
Somebody can help me??
Thanks

Re: Problems for users to CDE login
Like you recommend, I changed the permissions on /etc/hosts to 644 and now the CDE sessions works for all the users.
Thanks a lot for your help.
Regards.

Re: Problems for users to CDE login
We have another HP-UX 11i server with the same case and the only thing that they have in common is they are trusted system...this could be the reason about the permissions on /etc/hosts?
Regards!!
