SAS disks and HPUX
Hi,
For some of the new Integrity servers, HP uses SAS disks instead of SCSI. There is also an RAID controller (P400) for the internal disks avialable.
You can find a number of SAS RAID controllers for external disks (e.g. P600,P800) avialable for the Integrity servers but, no support for HP-UX. Only Windows and Linux.
Does anyone know if this is some kind of "policy" or will there be support in HP-UX also for external SAS drives ?

Re: SAS disks and HPUX
There is a new support matrix, P800 is listed as supported with HP-UX now:
http://docs.hp.com/en/SM_SA3/SA_Support_Matrix.htm
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: SAS disks and HPUX
According to the matrix you can connect the MSA50/60/70 to this controller.
See the capacity here:
http://docs.hp.com/en/J6369-90065/apfs02.html
Be aware the controller is a PCIe device, so you need a server with PCIe slot options.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
