SIGSEGV error with UUCP

I get the following error on an HP box

Pid 12171 received a SIGSEGV for stack growth failure.
Possible causes: insufficient memory or swap space,
or sta???? (broke off there)


HP Release B.10.20

I am slightly familiar with memory swap on this system, but would increasing
it do the trick or is this symptom of another issue. I get this ONLY when I
try to login UUCP no other time.

Stack growth failure would prompt me to look at kernel parameters. maxssize is
the parameter which determines stack space. You may also want to look at
maxdsize and maxtsize. A good sunopsis of kernel parameters can be found at:
