Samba, mount share being served from Windows on HPUX

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could share a simple howtoo of mounting a Windows CIFS share on a HPUX system and verifying things are working.
I have the Samba A1.10 package installed on my 11.11 system and the servername and drive letter from my users of the windows machine they would like to connect too. I believe I am missing some needed information to make this work properly. I am more used to serving from unix to windows with Samba. Please feel free to be detailed about entries to files and how to verify that things are working properly.

Re: Samba, mount share being served from Windows on HPUX

Shalom,

It's erally pretty simiple.

I recommend using the latest CIFS/9000 client from http://software.hp.com

smbclient can be used as an ftp style interface to check mounts

cifsmount [options] //server/share mount_point

Can be used to do temporay mounts. cifs mounts are possible in /etc/fstab as well.

NFS client must be running as the Samba/CIFS client last I checked ran on top of NFS.
