Hi there,
i wanna download and install on my hp11 Samba. Where can i download it for hp? I don't wanna a source code. Is there a version for hp?

Hi Tarek,


HP repackages samba and calls it CIFS/9000.

You can download CIFS server from

http://www.hp.com/products1/unix/operating/hpux11i/alwayssecure.html

You can download CIFS cclient from
https://software.hp.com/cgi-bin/swdepot_parser.cgi/cgi/try.pl?productNumber=B8724AA&date=

We want to make use of the NT Authentication abilities of the new winbind utility that comes with the latest version of Samba (2.1). We are having some compile problems, and we are wondering if there is a team at HP working on bringing the HP released Samba up to the current release. How would a user get in touch with the team for either tips of timetable?
