Re: Still nothing.....

I can't find the original message..
but I recall a keyboard not working console problem.
Try pressing the menu key near the F4 key and having a look around at the keyboard related settings.

You might want to power off the terminal, power on while pressing D (yuo should hear a beep) release D, then try again..

Other than that if you can telnet to the server, you should have a look at the console definition in the /etc/inittab and ensure it looks ok:

Re: Still nothing.....

Hi,

Try tput command. For details see man page, but
at the very beginning run
tput reset

Another way is to reset your terminal to the default settings:
switch off
switch on your terminal pressing simultaneously
Ctrl + Shift + d keys
Probably it is enough to press sth less, but do not remember at the moment.

Hope this helps.

Rgds.

Re: Still nothing.....

Are you able to access the Guardian Service Processor ?
Type control b
Service Processor Login: Type Return
Service Processor password: Type Return
GSP>ca
Do you want o modify papmeters on the local console port ? (Y/[N])y
It should be set to 9600 Baud rate and Software
Flow Control.
Also try
GSP>er
This will show the console access state.

Re: Still nothing.....

I'd start with the basics: verify the cable connection to the local console port of the HP; reset the SWC. I just recently installed one and sometimes had problems if I changed the console configuration or the SWC itself and didn't reset it.

Also, if someone else is already logged into the SWC then they have control. I don't believe you can input until they relinquish control.
