UPS Internal Temperature

We have an HP R1500XR UPS which suddenly cut out last week. The HP Power Manager log shows the internal temperature was 67C at the time, does anybody know how I can find out if this was the cause of the problem ?

Hi Paul,

You may have received a quicker responce on the Proliant BL/DL forum however here is a link to the quickspecs for the R1500XR UPS.

The operating temperature is between 10 and 40C, so 67 is well outside this scope.

Thanks for replying. I think the temperatures you have quoted are external or environmental. I was looking for something which documented the internal temperature range, as this is what is being measured by HP Power Manager.

Hi Paul,

-This is a Known Issue with HP R1500XR UPS model

-This would require Firmware update. As Certain UPS Model with Firmware Version 3.06 . Would not Shutdown Automatiocally incase of Overload but would cause the UPS To Overheat & Exceed Temperature & then Suddenly Cut Off
