disk not detect

hi all,
i have es40 with smart array 5300 at the first all disk are detect as and dya0 - dya500 then i run installation from cdrom i think instalation no succes and then i shutdown -h now after that disk not detect
any body can help me solve this problem

Installation of _what_, exactly? I know
nothing about a "smart array 5300", but an
old version of Tru64 may not know enough,
either.

what do you see in >>> promopt
can you see the disk in showdev

check you physical connector, what is the error you got in installation, i think u installtion Tru64 which verion??

pya0 is appear but
disk not appear

Do you mean ">>>sh dev"?

I still know nothing, but is this a job for
wwidmgr?

I think you should check the physical connection for the disk if you can not see the disk ou can not proceed.

No. wwidmgr would only be of use for Fibre attached disks.


If the dy... devices are being seen at the SRM prompt (P00>>>) but not the OS, then whatever version of the OS you're trying install doesn't recognise the SmartArray card.
