parisc gdb 5.9 on Itanium
Hi, All
I had gdb5.8 installed on my machine(Itanium)
/opt/langtools/bin/ had gdb for IA and /usr/ccs/bin had gdbpa
Now I downloaded the latest depot for 5.9 and installed it. It update only the IA version in /opt/langtools/bin but the one in /usr/ccs/bin/ was still 5.8.
Now what I did was:
Install the PA filesets by enabling aloow_incomaptible and reinstall options to true. and it installed gdb for parisc in /opt/langtools/bin/
Is there a way to keep the PA 5.9 in /usr/ccs/bin and IA gdb 5.9 in /opt/langtools/bin
Thanks
Sri

Hi,
The PA gdb on Itanium is not part of the bundle that you installed.
You can get the PA gdb from the recently released patch in sync with the web release.
The patch numbers are:
PHSS_38156 (11.23) and
PHSS_38157 (11.31)
For PA gdb 5.8, you might have installed a similar patch.
suresh.
