Re: sudo log entries are entered with delay of 6 hours

Hi.

I assume these jobs are kicked off every minute inside the OV agent and not through the cron.

Also could you describe how you restarted the OV and OVPA processes.

Re: sudo log entries are entered with delay of 6 hours

Hi ,
I start and stop through the startup scripts;

/sbin/init.d/OVCtrl stop/start
/sbin/init.d/ovpa stop/start
/opt/perf/bin/ovpa stop coda "in case coda is not stopped through the init script of ovpa

Re: sudo log entries are entered with delay of 6 hours

Hi.

Did you login as root to restart, or did you
su - or just su before you restarted?

Re: sudo log entries are entered with delay of 6 hours

Hi Andrew,

The problem was solved.
The last time the agent was started switching to root with su, loosing some paths on the PATH variable. I restart it switching to root with (su -)and now looks fine.

Thanks for you help.

Re: sudo log entries are entered with delay of 6 hours

Hi Voda

Not only did you lose the PATH but also the TZ environment variable. So it was using the system time which is usually set to EST which explains the 6 hour difference.
