599i3BA732D246C3F78BAs usual there was plenty of blogs, articles and talk around cloud computing last week at HP.  Once again, here’s a round-up of recent cloud computing content that you might find of interest.

HP  Fellow Charlie Bess posted a blog regarding the cloud metaphor and Michael Procopio blogged about new Business Service Management capabilities including software innovations that help you automate cloud in your data center.

Our Communications and Media Solutions team was featured in Cloud Computing Vision explaining how telecommunications providers will be in the position to offer all size firms could computing services including Software as a Service and Communications as a Service.  They also announced on Monday a solution that helps wireless and broadband companies generate new revenue by providing midsize business customers with cloud-based mobile device management services.

Cloud Vision, a community portal focused on the latest worldwide developments in Cloud Computing, is hosting another HP-sponsored Cloud Webinar on Sept. 23 that might be of interest to you--Enterprise Mobility and the Cloud.

But the biggest cloud topic last week was definitely private cloud. HP cloud advisor Mark Shoemaker bylined an entertaining post entitled: Private Cloud - Great! Now I’m a meteorologist! featuring Henry Ford, the value of standardization and automation, and a little about the ’doom and gloom’ cloud naysayers.  Duncan Campbell of HP’s Converged Infrastructure team  concluded a four-part series with  a post on building  a roadmap for private cloud and an article that describes what is needed to be ready for private cloud.

Our HP Services team, posted a Web feature titled, What can the internal cloud do for you?   And Judy Redman blogged about the five prerequisites that must be considered when building and automating a private cloud.

Another cool announcement is that HP announced they will create and deliver Paul McCartney’s images, artwork and songs via private cloud!

Stay tuned for my next post when I bring you more Around the HP Cloud
