Re: End Of Support Info

THANKS. I find under Nclass some numbers like A3639A, A3639B and A3639C. What are those numbers?

Thanks

Re: End Of Support Info

Those are various product numbers for the N-series of machines. Check your support contract, or the label on the machine itself, to see what specific model of the N4000 you have.

Re: End Of Support Info

Hi Joe,

The A/B/C is chassis type.

A little research (google.com) turned up:
A3639A = N4000 w/clock speed < 550 MHz.
A3639B = N4000 w/clock speed >= 550 MHz.
A3639C = N4000 rebranded as RP7400

It appears the system board is each is different.

Re: End Of Support Info

Shalom Joe,

The utility cstm lets you check CPU speed and such from a menu interface.

The model command from the OS usually gets you enough informaiton to know what type of machine it is and what the CPU speed is.

Replace the K's for certain. The L3000 probably is pretty much at the end of its life cycle, I can't find a link to buy them any more. They are rp5470. The N4000, now rp7400 are also hard to find.

These are all PA-RISC boxes and HP is fighting hard to stop building them and move everyone to Itanium 2.
