HP server rp5470 vs rp3440

New to the HP UX world and HP servers. We are looking at a development server the only difference is the development server would be an rp5470 whereas production is an rp3440.

Both have same memory, cpu, hd's etc.

We are running HP-UX 11i and Informix Dynamic Server.

Should I be concerned with the processor difference before I buy?

Any help is appreciated.

Hello,

I wouldn't bother too much. They are not very different. The RP3440 is the newer model and therefore requires a more recent version/patch level (Hardware Enablement Bundle) of HP-UX, though.
