Internal modem
HP9000 K-class we have has this modem's port (A2991-60021) connected to the
Line Interface (A2991-60020), so we only need to plug in the phone cord. Where
to find a driver for it? Will it work like any Hayes modem? Is it Line Access
Module? Does it have to do anything with the Remote Assistant?

Re: Internal modem
The internal modem in your K class system should have been already configured
by HP. It should work. If the modem is not, use SAM to reconfigure it. I
believe that HP uses MultiTech modems as their internal modems. Hp supplies a
driver for this modem and also Hayes drivers as well. Sam help you with this
configuration. HP really does not like it's customers to use this internal
modem for their own purpose, but rather leave the internal modem open for HP
use only - as in dial in diagnostic use or used by HP's Predictive software.

Re: Internal modem
The internal modem is for perdictive and should not be used for other perposes.
One issue I have seen quite often with the internal modem is when being used
for remote dial in if it gets hung from improper hang up it the modem can get
hung. And the only way to reset it is a hard reboot.
