Hi,
I would like to hear some advice or opinions about
enabling LAN-Console access across a LAN. Not the
web-console.
I'm very in doubt to enable it, since it only offers
passwd authentication, but no encryption of the
comms...

Solution
Alvaro,
You are right. This is the reason why the connector for the LAN console and the 10/100BaseT connector for the production LAN are separated. This keeps the possibility up to build two different networks. One for the usual data-network, the other one as a console-network (for trusted user only)
Or you can enable the LAN console just in case you really need it. But there are no more additional security features

There is no good troubleshooting with bad data

Re: LAN-Console access protection on series N
The LAN Console is very useful when managing several HP servers from a central location with one console. Otherwise, it's not very useful.
