I am trying to write an expect script to login to GSP and return vfp command so that I know when an attention light comes on (if there is a better way to get these notifications, please let me know). I have two questions at this point.
How do I send the ^Ecf to bump users and gain write access?
After GSP command has run, how do I disconnect from the GSP/host?
Hopefully there is a better way to get GSP alerts. Thanks in advance,
Dalin

Solution
Hi Dalin,
You can get a good information on hardware issues through EMS. You can configure EMS to send events to an Email id, SNMP, text file etc.,
It is easy to configure EMS. Run the command
/etc/opt/resmon/lbin/monconfig and it will take you through the configuration.
EMS comes with OnlineDiagnostics.

You may be disappointed if you fail, but you are doomed if you don't try

Re: login to GSP w/ expect script
Dalin,
Any potential problems that would "trip" the attention light would be trapped by EMS.
Regards,
RZ
