remote Administrator HP 9000

I have several questions regarding remotely administering an HP 9000 across a
WAN.

1. Does the HP 9000 have any problems if the consel dies while the system is
up?

2. Has anyone used a terminal server to remotely port the counsel output across
a WAN?

3. Has anyone had any experience with remotely rebooting HP boxes, or
installing software without having physical access to the Box?

If you have any information please reply here, or e-mail me at
tcleeton@mi.usa.oetiker.com please include a phone number if I can contact you
on the issue.

Thanks,

1. Does the HP 9000 have any problems if the consel dies while the system is
up?

-- We have several machines that have no consoles and they work without any
problems.

2. Has anyone used a terminal server to remotely port the counsel output across
a WAN?

-- We have been playing around with one but the best solution so far is HP's
webconsole.

3. Has anyone had any experience with remotely rebooting HP boxes, or
installing software without having physical access to the Box?

-- Done it many times, no problem whatso ever (that is unless the box does not
reboot but thats a different issue)

Re: remote Administrator HP 9000

Following are based on my current usage;

1. Try using reflection softwares in administering your servers remotely,
either it's in LAN or WAN.

2. You can also use the telnet sessions, but its a little jerky and not as
fancy like reflection.

In anycase where your workstation shutdowns or hangs up, your servers will
still be running but be sure to double check in your box if your process from
the said workstation is still up and running. You can also startup and
shutdown your servers/box remotely.
