I have an rp5470 that has 4 650Mhz CPU"s in it. My question is if this can be upgraded with faster CPU's? If so what is the limit on this that the rp5470 will support CPU wise and/or are we stuck with these that are presently in our box?
Thanks for any info that someone can provide?

Re: rp5470 CPU Question
Yes you can upgrade, but mixing and matching is not permitted. ITs best that all 4 CPU's be the same speed.
You will probably need to do a firmware upgrade and its best to have an HP hardware tech do the actual upgrade.

Re: rp5470 CPU Question
So if you are running the old HP-UX 11.0 on your current server, you will end up having to reload the OS if you go to the 875 MHz cpu.

Re: rp5470 CPU Question
THESE ARE THE SETTINGS:
550MHZ= 1,4,5,7,8 ON
650MHZ= 1,3,4,5,7 ON
750MHZ= 1,4,5,7 ON
875MHZ= 3,5,7 ON
TRY THIS AND IF IT IS UNSUCCESSFUL THEN YOU MAY HAVE PART OF THE 20% THAT MY ABOVE STATEMENT WON'T APPLY TO.
