Dial up modem access to 3000

I am trying to set up a 3000 928RX running 6.0 pp2 for remote dial up access. Currently using Minisoft (Yep, Ecometry user) as the emulator. My home machine is a Dell PIII running WindowsME. I know what I am supposed to do on the PC side, but my inexperience with the 3000 leads me to wonder if I am missing something on the HP side - security, etc. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hi there.
First thing is to get a modem with security options ( MULTITECH modems with dialback options ).
Second thing is setting up the machine itself.
You have to configure a dialin and a dialout port. These ports must NOT have CCITT settings,
because the dialin will not work with it.
