Automated collection of HBA/NIC firmware/driver information from blades.
Hello:
I have been asked to report against a client's blade infrastructure, and had used HPSUM to gather enclosure and base blade FW information. I need to go deeper and get the FW/driver versions for any HBA and LOMs. I have tried to use HPSUM for this but seem to only get the high-level enclosure/blade info. My questions are:
1. Is it possible to automate the collection of this information using HPSUM?
2. If it is possible, is it dependent upon the current firmware in the enclosure (ie. 2 year old FW does not support providing that information).
3. Will it collect from all OS types (ESX, Windows, HP-UX, etc.).
Thanks!
