HP SUM only detects ilo ports
I'm trying to use HP SUM to update all of the firmware components in my C7000. I've added the onboard administrators to be discovered and SUM does discover the blades, the problem is that it only discovers the ilo ports and thats all I can update. It doesnt even list any other components (NICS, HBA, controllers, etc). How do I get SUM to discover the rest of my hardware?

Re: HP SUM only detects ilo ports
I've found that the HP SUM utility only "finds" directly related devices when you add devices like an Onboard Administrator. In order to update server firmware for it's various components, you should add the operating systems IP information... and the appropriate credentials.
I've done this in Windows and VMware environments without major issues. I have been able to update System ROM BIOS and NIC/Smart Array/etc. firmware with only minor issues. (sometimes not all updates run and you have to run a scan/update a second time).
